Panguil Bay Bridge Project

Project Overview

The 3.7-kilometer Panguil Bay Bridge connects Tangub City in Misamis Occidental and Tubod in Lanao del Norte. It is considered as the biggest infrastructure project in Northern Mindanao not only because it is part of the Mega Bridge Masterplan that aims to link Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, but also because of the major economic benefits that the region will reap.

Project Impact

The project will reduce the travel time between Tangub and Tubod from 2.5 hours to only 10 minutes. It will also shorten travel time between Ozamiz City in Misamis Occidental and Mukas, Kolambugan in Lanao Del Norte from 2.5 hours (using RORO operations) to only 20 minutes.

This is expected to improve the economic condition and encourage growth of tourism between the provinces of Misamis Occidental and Lanao del Norte.
