Alimodian to Bucari – Pine Forest Leon

Project Overview

The 1.358-kilometer road from Alimodian to Bucari, passing through Barangay Manasa, offers an alternative route to the "Seven Cities," a cluster of barangays known for organic vegetable production in Alimodian municipality. Section 1 involves paving 740 meters of Portland concrete cement pavement (PCCP), while Section 2 includes constructing 618 meters of PCCP and a 60-meter pre-stressed concrete girder (PSCG) bridge.

Project Impact

The project is pivotal in stimulating economic development in the highlands of Alimodian and surrounding areas by facilitating quicker transport of agricultural produce. Additionally, it will enhance tourism development in Central Iloilo by improving access to popular agri-tourism destinations like the Bucari Pine Forest and Waterfalls in Leon, known as the "Little Baguio of Iloilo.
