Camalig Bypass Road

Project Overview

The 3.5-km Camalig bypass road spans five barangays in Camalig—Salugan, Quirangay, Suwa, Ilawod, and Libod. It features a reinforced concrete-lined canal, solar lighting, and road/traffic signage. Additionally, the project includes constructing a reinforced concrete box culvert and installing reinforced concrete pipe culverts at various locations.

Project Impact

The project will enhance the local economy and boost tourism in Camalig, while also providing access to the nearby Bicol International Airport. Motorists will save approximately 25 minutes of travel time when traveling between Salugan and Libod.
