Cebu Cordova Link Bridge (CCLEX)

Cebu Cordova Link Bridge (CCLEX)
Project Overview

The 8.5-kilometer Cebu-Cordova Link Expressway will connect mainland Cebu from Cebu City via the Cebu South Coastal Road to Cordova Town in Mactan Island. Implemented by the Cebu Cordova Link Expressway Corporation (CCLEC), a subsidiary of Metro Pacific Tollways Corporation.

With a total length of 8.9 kilometers and supported by pillars reaching up to 145 meters in height, this construction stands as the longest and tallest bridge in the Philippines. The central suspended span measures 390 meters in length and 51 meters in height, permitting boats to pass through the canal.

Project Impact

The project aims to alleviate the traffic congestion on the two existing bridges (Marcelo Fernan Bridge and Mandaue Bridge) connecting Mactan and Cebu, addressing the area's worsening traffic conditions. It is expected to serve at least 50,000 vehicles daily.
