Project Overview

The scenic 19.89-kilometer road links Mangatarem, Pangasinan and Sta. Cruz, Zambales. The road linking the two provinces of Pangasinan and Zambales will hasten not only travel but also trade and tourism since it passes through mountains and its construction will also ensure the protection and preservation of the remaining virgin forests in the area.

Project Impact

The project aims to reduce travel time from Mangatarem in Pangasinan to Sta. Cruz in Zambales from 2.5 hours to just one hour. The scenic Daang Kalikasan route already attracts tourists from across the province and neighboring areas due to its picturesque views. Upon full completion in both Pangasinan and Zambales, travelers from central and eastern Pangasinan will no longer need to pass through towns and cities in western Pangasinan to reach Zambales.
