Flood Control Structure along Ilog-Hilabangan River

Project Overview

The structure consists of a 336.7-lineal meter revetment wall with a combination of rubble concrete and reinforced concrete revetment wall on a steel sheet piles foundation.

Project Impact

The flood control project is a key component of Kabankalan City's flood mitigation efforts, primarily aimed at safeguarding its urban areas. It was constructed to prevent water overflow and soil erosion along the Ilog-Hilabangan River in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The project will protect the lives and properties of approximately 2,630 households in four barangays located near the river.
