Pasacao-Balatan Tourism Coastal Highway

Project Overview

The 40.69-kilometer coastal expressway will traverse the municipalities of Pasacao, San Fernando, Minalabac, Bula, and Balatan in Camarines Sur. The project, which serves as an alternate route to Daang Maharlika, and will traverse 15 barangays namely: San Cirilo, Balogo, Bical, Gñaran, Pinamasagan, Cotmo, Bagolatao, San Antonio, Salingogon, Hamoraon, Itangon, Caorasan, Camanghan, Pararao, and Luluasan.

Project Impact

The objective of the project is to enhance ecotourism in Camarines Sur, which in turn will contribute to economic growth. Upon its completion, the travel time between Pasacao and Balatan will be significantly decreased from two hours and 12 minutes to just 41 minutes, thereby easing traffic congestion for approximately 8,000 daily motorists.
