Pigalo Bridge
Project Overview
The 450-meter Pigalo Bridge in Angadanan, Isabela includes 250-meter approaches on each side, a 7.32-meter roadway, nine 2-2.50-diameter bored piles (deep foundation), and two abutments with drainage structure and embankment protection works. The bridge also has a concrete sidewalk and concrete railings for pedestrians. It replaced the old dilapidated overflow structure, which posed a danger to motorists and pedestrians for at least eight years.
Project Impact
The project aims to offer direct access to residents in remote barangays while ensuring safe and convenient travel for both locals and tourists. In addition to enhancing connectivity, the road will serve as an efficient transportation route for delivering agricultural products from distant areas to major commercial hubs in the Cagayan Valley Region. Moreover, it will reduce travel time between Angadanan and San Guillermo barangays by 30 minutes, facilitating quicker and more efficient transport of goods and services.
