Project Overview
The 54-kilometer Sta. Cruz Mangatarem Road (SMCR), also known as Daang Kalikasan Highway, is a four-lane eco-tourism highway that serves as a vital east-west linkage spanning two regions. Its Region III segment stretches 40.2 kilometers, connecting Sta. Cruz, Zambales, while its portion in Region I reaches Mangatarem, Pangasinan.
Project Impact
The project aims to connect the provinces of Zambales and Pangasinan, reducing travel time and enhancing tourism and trade in both regions. Once completed, the road is expected to attract tourists with its scenic views of rolling hills and mountains, offering a captivating and serene journey.
