Lamentillo graduates from PSG Training Program

Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo is now officially part of the Presidential Security Group (PSG) after completing the VIP Protection Executive Training (VIPPET) of the PSG Training School.

Lamentillo, who is a Commodore of the Philippine Coast Guard Auxiliary (PCGA), graduated from PSG’s VIPPET as part of Class 02-2023, Batch Protego, on March 21, in ceremonies led by PSG Commander, Brigadier General Ramon P. Zagala.

“It’s an honor to be part of the PSG and their noble duty of protecting the state personified in the President who received the mandate of the people,” said Lamentillo.

The PSG is an elite force of both military and civilian agents whose primary responsibility is to protect at all cost the President and the first family, and other dignitaries.

Just last January, Lamentillo was officially inducted as Auxiliary Commodore (one-star rank) of the PCGA, a uniformed civilian volunteer organization that supports the Philippine Coast Guard in the promotion of safety of life and property at sea. Its functions include maritime environment protection, maritime search and rescue, maritime safety, and maritime community relations. Lamentillo is also an Army reservist with the rank of 1st Lieutenant.
