Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo was recognized by Lazada Philippines as an “Inspiring Young Filipino.”

The recognition was conferred on Lamentillo during the Lazada Run held at the SM Mall of Asia Concert Grounds, Pasay City on July 2, 2023.

Lazada Philippines’ Inspiring Young Filipino recognition acknowledges the awardees’ significant contributions to the country, particularly their positive impact on the youth.

“I am thankful for this recognition by Lazada Philippines. I’ve always believed that age or gender should never be a deterrent when you want to achieve something, especially if it’s for the good of society. In receiving this award, I express my continuing commitment in engaging the youth to be active participants in nation-building,” said Lamentillo.

Lamentillo, who was a student leader in her college days at the University of the Philippines Los Banos (UPLB), is DICT’s Undersecretary for Public Affairs and Foreign Relations. She is the youngest undersecretary of the present administration.

Prior to this, she was the chairperson of the Build, Build, Build Committee of the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the concurrent chairperson of the Infrastructure Cluster Communications Committee.
